MA ORGANISATION DEVELOPMENT
The Master’s degree programme is designed as a sandwich programme and spread over a period of eighteen (18) months, except for holders of approved Post-graduate Diploma in OD and other qualifications which may transfer credit hours and therefore complete the programme in a shorter period.
Nature and Duration
The following schedules will be implemented depending on interest.
Full-time – Six 3-weekly modules spread over ten (10) months (excluding mentoring sesions).
Regular – Six 3-weekly modules spread over sixteen (16) months (excluding mentoring sessions).
Evening – Six 7-weekly modules spread over seventeen (17) months (excluding mentoring sessions).
Weekend – Six 7-weekly modules spread over seventeen (17) months (excluding mentoring sessions).
Students will conduct practical assignments in access (practice) organisations in-between modules.
A combination of classroom and practical work are undertaken.
In addition, students as OD practitioners undertake practical assignments and present field reports during mentoring sessions for assessment and feedback.
Modules and Course Outlines
Students pursuing the full time programme are expected to cover six modules over eighteen (18) months period for the Masters degree. The six modules are taught courses and four practical assignments are undertaken as filed experience. During this period, students are expected to bring into practice the theories they learned in the class room. At the end of the six modules, students will enjoy the same benefits as listed for Post-Graduate Diploma students and in addition, be able to:
Write a consultancy proposal.
Conduct organizational effectiveness assessment.
Assess the effectiveness of teams.
Conduct organizational culture assessment.
Write and present OD assessment report.
Undertake effective coaching intervention.
Conduct strategic planning intervention.
Deepen their understanding of the characteristics of an effective OD consultant.
Conduct dynamic team building;
